Nichole LeFebvre joined The Friedrich Agency in spring 2012, after working in editorial at Oxford University Press. In addition to selling audio rights for the agency, she manages foreign sales for select clients including Karen Joy Fowler, Rufi Thorpe, and John Verdon. A Sackett Street alumna, she won The L Magazine’s Literary Upstart contest in 2013 and was featured in their summer fiction issue. Fiction is forthcoming in Gigantic Sequins.

William Boggess, Barer Literary, began his career at Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, before working at Barer Literary until 2010. After a stint in editorial at Little, Brown and Company, where he worked with renowned authors such as Sam Kean, Alan Weisman, Edna O’Brien, and Tom Wolfe, he has returned to Barer Literary to represent literary fiction and narrative nonfiction. He grew up in the mountains of North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Lucy Carson, The Friedrich Agency, graduated from The University of Michigan and promptly joined The Friedrich Agency in early 2008, where she is now a full agent as well as the Director of Sub-Rights for the company. In addition to brokering domestic publishing deals for her own clients, Lucy also oversees all foreign and film business for the agency list. During her five years with The Friedrich Agency, Lucy has worked with such authors as Sue Grafton, Lisa Scottoline, Ruth Ozeki, Terry McMillan, Jane Smiley, and Elizabeth Strout. Her list is focused on fiction and (narrative) non-fiction for both adults and teens.

Peter Knapp joined the Park Literary Group in July 2011. He is building his client list with a focus on middle grade and young adult fiction, as well as suspense and thrillers for all ages. He does not represent picture books or nonfiction. Prior to joining Park Literary, he was the story editor at Floren Shieh Productions, where he consulted on book-to-film adaptations for Los Angeles-based film and TV entities. He graduated from New York University with a B.A. in art history.

Monika Verma joined Levine Greenberg in 2006, and represents a wide range of nonfiction book projects. She specializes in humor, pop culture, memoir, narrative nonfiction and style and fashion titles. She loves to work with authors to develop their writing careers, whether that means helping them make the jump from blogger to published author, brainstorming the perfect funny gift book topic, or working with a debut author to showcase a strong narrative voice. Her clients include humorist and actor Nick Offerman; costume designer Janie Bryant (AMC’s “Mad Men”); style and celebrity bloggers Tom & Lorenzo; and writer, illustrator, and blogger Allie Brosh (Hyperbole and a Half) Though her list is primarily nonfiction, she also enjoys working on Young Adult fiction, whether it’s paranormal, historical or contemporary.

Julia Fierro is the author of Cutting Teeth, a novel, to be released by St. Martin’s Press in May 2014. Julia’s work has been published, or is forthcoming, in Guernica Magazine, The Millions, Poets & Writers, Flavorwire, and other publications, and she has been profiled in the L Magazine, Brooklyn Magazine, The Observer and The Economist. In 2002, Julia founded The Sackett Street Writers’ Workshop, and what started as eight writers meeting in her Brooklyn kitchen has grown into a creative home for over 2000 writers.
