Matt Bell, who I’m familiar with as editor of The Collagist, and a fellow contributor to Monkeybicycle, is writing a story online for all of us to see this week, on Everyday Genius. He talks about the project here. Basically what’s happening is, we get to watch him write, as he writes. Then two guest editors, Michael Kimball and Lily Hoang will have at his work. Then we, the viewers, get to have at it. Then Matt is back at it, and voila! A short story is born collaboratively. I’m interested to see what the collaboration yields. Looks like the first paragraph is already up on Everyday Genius.
Update: As I’m watching Matt write and even revise a little, with others watching and commenting with a chat to the side, I’m amazed. I wouldn’t be able to write with people watching me like this. It’s almost like a sporting event. I find myself rooting for him.
Hey! I know this is sort of off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does building a well-established website such as yours take
a large amount of work? I am completely new to operating a blog but I do write in my journal daily.
I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my experience and thoughts online. Please let me know if you have any ideas or tips for new aspiring bloggers. Thankyou!
